Sylmar 21, Poly 14--Sylmar defensive back Michael Thomas intercepted quarterback Jason Kemp’s pass on the goal line with 11 seconds remaining to preserve the Spartans’ victory at Poly.
Sylmar (4-3, 3-2) built a 21-0 lead in the second quarter by capitalizing on 4 Poly turnovers.
Poly (2-6, 0-5) scored its touchdowns on 6- and 35-yard passes from Kemp to Eddie Guerrero.
