Montclair Prep 42, Maranatha 0--Michael Jones rushed for 3 touchdowns and a game-high 219 yards in 24 carries, and the Mounties’ defense forced 6 turnovers and made 6 quarterback sacks in a rout at Pierce College.
Jones scored on runs of 33, 14 and 42 yards, and Mike O’Brien added 105 yards in 14 carries, including a 3-yard, second-quarter touchdown run for Montclair Prep (5-3, 3-0).
The Montclair Prep defense held the Minutemen (0-7, 0-3) to 23 yards and came up with 2 touchdowns.
Defensive back Ennis Howard returned an interception 58 yards for a score and linebacker Neimad Durham returned a fumble 13 yards for a touchdown.
