French Publisher Drops Kennedy Book

PARIS —  A French publishing firm has suspended the release of a book that claims President John F. Kennedy’s assassination was carried out by three Marseilles-based Mafia gunmen, a spokesman said Friday.

The decision by Editions Plon came after convincing alibis were produced this week for two of the alleged killers named in an Oct. 25 British television program that was based on the book, “The Kennedy Assassins,” by American author Steve Rivele.
