PREP FOOTBALL : Sea View League : Tustin Overcomes Saddleback, 17-7

Tustin High School scored 14 fourth-quarter points Friday night to break open a close game en route to a 17-7 Sea View League victory over Saddleback before 1,100 at Tustin.
The Tillers are now 1-0-1 in league play and 3-3-1 overall. The loss left Saddleback with a 1-1 league record and a 2-5 mark for the year.
Halfback Visco Ancich scored on a 2-yard run with 11:03 left in the game, and Casey Mazzotta’s extra-point kick gave Tustin a 10-0 lead.
Two plays later, Tustin defensive back Monte Jones intercepted a Jeff Bianco pass and returned it 43 yards for a touchdown.
Mazzotta’s extra point made it 17-0 Tustin with 9:49 left.
With 4:59 remaining, Saddleback scored its lone touchdown when Justin Sprague caught an 8-yard pass from Bianco. Beto Zavala kicked the extra point.
The Tillers’ first points came with 11:07 left in the second quarter, when Mazzotta kicked a 26-yard field goal.
Aaron Cobb rushed for 69 yards in 12 carries for Tustin. Ancich added 64 yards in 13 carries.
