Russell White Sets State Prep Rushing Mark

Russell White of Crespi High school ran for a season-high 192 yards to become the state’s leading career rusher during the Celts’ 35-15 victory over St. John Bosco in a Del Rey League game Friday night at Bellflower.
The senior tailback, who scored 4 touchdowns, broke the record on a 5-yard run with 4:18 left in the third quarter.
White has 5,447 yards in his 3-year career, which topped the previous mark of 5,397 yards set by Ray Pallares of Valencia High in Placentia.
White scored on runs of 1, 1, 72 and 30 yards.
