Carlos Monzon, the undisputed middleweight boxing champion when he retired in 1977, must remain in jail until his trial begins on charges that he killed his girlfriend, Argentina’s Supreme Court ruled. Alicia Muniz was found dead Feb. 14 below the balcony of Monzon’s second-floor apartment in Mar del Plata resort, 250 miles south of Buenos Aires.
