BoMed Medical Manufacturing Ltd. reported profit of $9,380 for the fiscal third quarter ended Aug.31, making it the first time the company has achieved three consecutive profitable quarters. Last year, BoMed lost $226,470 for the third quarter. Revenue rose 42%, to $740,550 from $522,175 for the comparable 1987 quarter. For the first 9 months, net income was $67,710, contrasted with a loss of $748,906 for the comparable 1987 period. Revenue increased 59%, to $2.1 million from $1.3 million for the comparable 1987 period. The company attributed its third-quarter results to a growing acceptance in both international and domestic markets for its non-invasive monitoring devices. BoMed, based in Irvine, manufactures instruments for a broad range of patient monitoring and therapeutic applications.
