Arcadia : Hearing on Landfill Report
Certification of a draft environmental impact report on a proposed landfill in Arcadia will be considered at a public hearing tonight.
The proposed project, which would turn a former quarry into a landfill for soil, rock and other inert materials, has angered some El Monte residents whose homes border the site. The city of El Monte also opposes the project.
Arcadia’s certification of the draft report is needed before the project can continue.
The City Council hearing will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Arcadia City Hall.
