The key prosecution witness against former Miss America Bess Myerson admitted that she had not related a conversation with her father about her mother’s handling of the case to a federal grand jury or in depositions. Sukhreet Gabel’s admission came during cross-examination in U.S. District Court in Manhattan at the trial of former state Supreme Court Justice Hortense W. Gabel; Myerson and her lover, Carl (Andy) Capasso on charges that they conspired to cut Capasso’s support payments to his estranged wife. In exchange, prosecutors say, Sukhreet Gabel was given a city job by Myerson.
