MEDICAL : Orange’s St. Joseph Hospital to Open Satellite Service Center in East Orange
- Share via
In a bid to be the first local hospital to tap an expanding market, St. Joseph Hospital of Orange plans early next year to open a satellite service center in east Orange.
Hospital spokesman Dennis Gaschen said the hospital has agreed to lease 4,000 square feet of office space from Pacific Southwest Realty Co. at the corner of Chapman and Newport avenues. St. Joseph will develop a walk-in clinic at the site.
The clinic will be next to the Irvine Co.’s new Santiago Hills residential project. Noting that the Irvine Co. plans ultimately to build a community of 61,000 new residents in the east Orange area, Gaschen said St. Joseph wants to get a jump on other hospitals competing for the new business.
