Los Angeles police are investigating the murder of a man who was found shot to death in a Reseda alley, authorities said Sunday.
The body of Joseph Brosta, 41, of Reseda was found Saturday morning in an alley in the 7900 block of White Oak Avenue, said Sgt. Woody Baca of the West Valley Division. Brosta was apparently the victim of a murder-robbery, Baca said.
Police saw three men in Brosta’s van, which was headed south on the San Diego Freeway near Century Boulevard, shortly before his body was found at about 2:30 a.m., Baca said. The van rammed into the police car and sped away, he said.
Officers chased the van, but the three men pulled over and escaped on foot, Baca said. The van was later traced to Brosta, he said.
