Andean Condors Freed in Wilds

Three more Andean condors were brought to the Sespe Condor Sanctuary as part of a study by wildlife officials that will hopefully lead to returning endangered California condors to the wilds, an official said today.
The three chicks were transported by vans from the Los Angeles Zoo to the sanctuary in Los Padres National Forest, said Joseph J. Dowhan, condor recovery coordinator for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
