Mental Health Groups Honor Supervisor
Ventura County Supervisor Susan Lacey has received an award from three statewide mental health groups for her work on children’s mental health issues.
Lacey will be honored tonight at a banquet in Orange County sponsored by the California Council on Mental Health, the California Conference of Local Mental Health Directors and the Organization of Mental Health Advisory Boards.
Lacey helped organize a pilot program in Ventura County that integrated medical, psychological and educational services for children with mental health problems. The program has been cited nationally as an innovative model.
