FT. BRAGG, N. C. — Army aviation experts began an investigation here Wednesday into an accident involving a helicopter similar to one that crashed in 1985, killing 12 soldiers at the military base.
Investigators from Ft. Rucker, Ala., were probing the latest mishap, in which an Army UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter made a hard landing and rolled over on its side during a training exercise.
The accident Tuesday sent three of the 14 soldiers aboard the helicopter to the hospital, a spokesman said. Two were treated and released, and the third suffered a broken arm.
