Reynolds Doubts That He’ll Join Browns

AKRON, Ohio — Olympic silver medalist Butch Reynolds, who expressed interest in playing for the Cleveland Browns, now says he will likely remain on the track and field circuit.
Reynolds, 24, the world record-holder in the 400 meters, said Friday: “Right now, I’m one of the elite track athletes in the world. And it would be a great honor to play for the Cleveland Browns and hopefully win a Super Bowl Ring.
“But realistically, the financial gain in football would probably be the same as track, and there is no reason why I should take a risk in football when I could just keep running and keep the bumps and bruises down.”
