Reseda 21, North Hollywood 14--Tailback William Gaines ran 9 yards for a touchdown with 7:25 to play to break a 14-14 tie as Reseda avoided an upset at North Hollywood.
The run by Gaines, who earlier caught a 44-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Coley Kyman, capped a 63-yard drive after a North Hollywood punt. Gaines finished the game with 71 yards rushing in 12 carries.
Kyman completed 7 of 13 for 155 yards and 2 touchdowns. Fred Feyrer caught 2 passes for 76 yards, one for a 49-yard touchdown.
North Hollywood tailback Mike Goldsmith rushed for 156 yards in 35 carries and scored on runs of 7 and 13 yards.
