Kohl Reportedly Seeks Soviet Nuclear Deal

BONN — Chancellor Helmut Kohl will seek a West German-Soviet pact on joint construction of nuclear reactors in the Soviet Union when he pays an official visit to Moscow later this month, a news magazine said Sunday.
The weekly Der Spiegel said Kohl hopes to “lock up” a deal on helping the Soviets build reactors during his talks with Kremlin leader Mikhail S. Gorbachev. A West German government spokesman declined to comment on the report.
