Paris Update

The good old days of free luggage carts at Paris railway stations are over. During a recent visit, carts at Gares Est and St. Lazare required the insertion of a 10-franc piece (about $1.64 U.S.) into the rack slot. Just like LAX. But more! Admission to restrooms was 2 1/2 francs (about 40 cents U.S.), and the women attendants were surly. Ah, Paris! However, the luggage carts at Charles de Gaulle are still on the house.
