Pavilion Pans
Are there two Japanese pavilions? The one I saw wasn’t “sublime,” as Kaplan said. It was a yucky green with the ceiling fighting the windows, which fought the walls, which fought the exhibit, walkways, railings, etc., etc.
This building is the worst of “Glendale architecture” housing a lovely collection.
The best part of my visit to the pavilion was the Japanese drummers outside in the courtyard. Now there was harmony.
