With a bundle of medals still up for grabs, the Summer Olympics come to a close in Korea this weekend.
Today the U.S. boxing and volleyball teams will go for the gold during the 4:30-9 p.m. telecast, while the men’s marathon can be seen from 9:30-11:30 p.m.
Other telecasts today are scheduled from 9-10 a.m. and 1-4 p.m., with Sunday’s events airing from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., all on Channels 4, 36 and 39.
The closing ceremonies will take place from 7-11 p.m. Sunday.
Meanwhile, NBC’s competitors will offer college football as a viewer’s alternative today.
At 12:30 p.m., ABC will carry the UCLA-Washington game on Channels 7, 3, 10 and 42.
Then at 6:30 p.m., cable viewers can turn to USC-Arizona on Prime Ticket.
In pro football Sunday, the New York Giants play Washington at 10 a.m. on CBS (2)(8), and San Diego hosts Denver at 1 p.m. on NBC (4)(36)(39).
