More than 11,882 San Diegans responded to KGTV’s (Channel 10) poll question: Is Morton Downey Jr. a jerk or a hero? Only 4,191 of those who called last week thought the abrasive talk show host was a jerk; 7,691 labeled him a hero. It was a record number of calls for a Channel 10 phone poll.
