Turnovers Victimize Ventura in 35-9 Loss

Ventura College, which compiled 351 total yards in a 35-9 loss to Bakersfield, plays at Santa Monica City College on Saturday.
Sophomore quarterback Juan Moreno completed 22 of 39 passes for 272 yards and a touchdown, but he also threw 4 interceptions. Ventura (1-1) committed 6 turnovers.
Wide receiver Darin Fain, who had 7 receptions for 152 yards, scored Ventura’s only touchdown on a 17-yard pass play from Moreno in the third quarter.
