2 More Mafia Slayings Bring 4-Day Toll to 16

PALERMO, Sicily — Two men were slain overnight in a new Mafia offensive that has killed 16 people in four days, police said today.
Giuseppe Agrusa, 58, and his friend Giuseppe Leone, 63, were gunned down from a passing car as they sat outside a bar in a village near Palermo. Agrusa was a suspected member of a once powerful Sicilian clan but Leone had no known connections with the Mafia.
