Erly Industries completed acquisition of Kraft’s citrus-processing business in Lakeland, Fla., placing it in Erly Juice, a newly formed subsidiary. Terms were not disclosed. The acquisition moves Erly into the citrus juice business with operations that had sales of $70 million last year. The Los Angeles-based food processor has also indicated a willingness to buy bankrupt TreeSweet Cos. of Houston, another juice producer. Erly has managed TreeSweet, pending approval of a reorganization plan.
