Champions of sport will still be shuttling over to Disneyland in the Magic Kingdom’s high-profile TV ads. But there won’t be any more Olympians plugging the park after a spot featuring multi-medal-winning swimmer Matt Biondi was found to violate a rule of the International Olympic Committee that limits athlete endorsements. Tom Elrod, marketing vice president for Disney World, said his company thought it had the appropriate permission. Thus Disney will not broadcast or film anymore Olympics-related commercials but the campaign will continue, probably at the baseball championship, Elrod said.
