2 Killed as Mexican Apartment Building Collapses

MONTERREY, Mexico — A six-story apartment building collapsed Tuesday, killing two people and apparently trapping several more in the rubble, officials said.
At least four people were rescued after part of the structure slid down a steep mountainside in this northern industrial city. Officials speculated that heavy rains associated with Hurricane Gilbert may have contributed to the collapse.
