Local News in Brief : Tustin : Sprinklers Keep Down Fire Damage at Firm

Spontaneous combustion of oily rags started a blaze inside a washing machine repair business Monday night, causing $17,000 damage, an Orange County Fire Department spokeswoman said.
The fire broke out at 11:12 p.m. at the Coin Meter Washer Service, 14761 Bentley Circle, and was confined to the office area by a sprinkler system, spokeswoman Kathleen Cha said. Officials estimated the sprinkler system prevented $1 million in damage.
