Black Hawk to Acquire Animal Trailer Maker
MINNEAPOLIS — Black Hawk Holdings Inc. has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Kiefer Built Inc., a Kanawha, Iowa-based manufacturer of utility livestock and horse trailers.
Black Hawk President Dobson West said the company will acquire 90% of Kiefer Built through its acquisition subsidiary, Liberty Capital Corp.
Kiefer Built had sales last year of about $10 million and has grown rapidly in recent years, Black Hawk officials said.
They said the management team responsible for this growth, including founder and President Arden Kiefer, will join the Black Hawk team.
