Burnette Named Coach of Orange High Basketball
Don Burnette, a teacher in the Orange Unified School District for 24 years, has been named varsity basketball coach at Orange High School.
Burnette, 47, succeeds Don Paxton, who resigned last spring to pursue his education. Burnette will be a walk-on coach and teach at Portola Junior High School in Orange.
Burnette, who graduated from Orange in 1959, will continue to be an assistant coach for the Orange boys’ and girls’ cross-country teams.
