And speaking of Geraldo, Rivera told Cosmopolitan magazine that he once made a pass at Barbara Walters when they were both at ABC in 1977. “I like Barbara,” Rivera said. “She can be very intimidating, but I viewed her as a sexy dame.” Rivera said Walters rejected him but quickly added he didn’t mount a full-fledged assault on her. There were plenty of other women who didn’t turn him down, Rivera said. Added C. C.
