Ceremony to Honor California MIAs

Vietnam Veterans of Ventura County will sponsor a reading of the names of California’s 249 Southeast Asia veterans who have not been accounted for at 7 p.m. Friday outside the county government center in Ventura.
Candles will be lit as names are called at the Veterans Memorial at Victoria Avenue and Telephone Road.
The event will mark National POW/MIA Recognition Day, an observance honoring the 2,343 missing Vietnam veterans.
