San Diego State Upsets Oregon at Fullerton

Kim Washington had 14 kills as San Diego State upset 14th-ranked Oregon, 15-1, 15-10, 15-13, Thursday in an opening-round volleyball match at the Fullerton Tournament. Jackie Mendez had 12 kills and Amy Erben added nine.
In a later match against Idaho State, SDSU won, 15-6, 15-8, 15-4. SDSU plays Central Michigan today at 11 in the round-robin, pool-play tournament.
Angie Rais had 21 kills and 9 blocks to help the University of San Diego (2-4) defeat visiting Baylor, 9-15, 15-6, 15-6, 15-9. USD’s Jody Connors had 18 kills and 8 digs.
UC San Diego (6-1) lost, 15-5, 15-11, 15-11, at Cal State Sacramento, which is ranked fourth in Division II. Diana Klintworth had 11 kills for UCSD.
MEN’S SOCCER
Point Loma Nazarene opened with a 2-1 victory at Occidental College.
