Critiquing Movies and the Folks Who Write About Them : An Initial Concern

Regarding Douglas P. Bedard’s indignant reply (July 24) to the two female Calendar letter writers who had the audacity to use a first initial: You tell em, Doug! Everyone knows that such use is a sacred male privilege that only the most deeply unfeminine woman would dare try to usurp. And how very masculine of you, Doug P., to complain publicly about this serious breach of etiquette.
