Reseda Opens Play in Connie Mack Tournament

The Reseda Connie Mack team, composed of players ages 18 and under, plays in the first round of the Southern California playoffs at Blair Field in Long Beach tonight at 8.
Reseda, which won both halves of the Glendale Connie Mack League season and finished with an overall record of 13-1-1, plays the winner of a Tuesday night game between South Orange County and Mary Star of Long Beach.
Mary Star (23-3), a team composed of players from Long Beach and Orange County, is the defending national champion.
The six-team, double-elimination tournament ends Saturday. The tournament winner advances to the Pacific Regional tournament in Seattle on Aug. 5.
