The defense in the racketeering trial of Rep. Mario Biaggi and six others rested, bringing four months of testimony involving the scandal-plagued Wedtech Corp. to a close. Senior Judge Constance Baker Motley in U.S. District Court in Manhattan turned down the routine defense motions for an immediate verdict of acquittal or dismissal of charges.
