WASHINGTON — Former White House Chief of Staff Howard H. Baker Jr., who said he never would write a “kiss-and-tell” book about his experiences, is going on the lecture circuit instead.
A spokeswoman for Baker announced today that he has signed an exclusive contract with the Harry Walker agency, a New York-based lecture management firm that also represents former President Gerald R. Ford, former Secretary of State Henry A. Kissinger and Baker’s predecessor as chief of staff, Donald T. Regan. Baker’s first speech will be at the Institutional Investors Conference next Tuesday in Asheville, N.C., on the subject, “What the Next President of the United States Needs to Know.”
