Taphorn previously was a vice president and general merchandise manager at R. G. Branden’s, a division of Dayton Hudson. Market Services, based in New York, provides centralized buying services and develops private label merchandise for Carter Hawley Hale’s stores, including the Broadway, Emporium Capwell and Thalhimers.
