The Pepperdine School of Law held its 17th commencement Saturday on the Malibu campus. Degrees were conferred on 138 students.
Keynote Speaker: Gov. George Deukmejian, said: “As you leave Pepperdine, you are stepping into a world of ever-widening possibilities. Some of you may be concerned about the nation’s seemingly endless supply of lawyers. But don’t be discouraged. Long ago, when I was a law student, the father of one of my roommates gave me some sound advice which I have passed on to my children and others. He said there’s always room for one more good person in every field.”

U.S. District Judge Pamela Ann Rymer.
Other Graduations:
The University of La Verne College of Law held its hooding ceremony Saturday. Atty. Gen. John K. Van de Kamp spoke. Degrees conferred on 80 students.
