Ashton-Tate Corp. posted a 22.1% increase in income to $11.1 million in the first quarter, compared to the year-ago period. Revenue for the quarter was $72.4 million, a 20.2% increase. The Torrance-based software and database management systems company said sales of dBASE III Plus, MultiMate Advantage II and FullWrite Professional contributed to the quarter’s results.
