Doug Moe, Denver Nuggets’ coach, was named the NBA’s Coach of the Year. Moe guided the Nuggets to the Midwest Division title with a 54-28 record, their best mark since entering the NBA in 1976. Moe received 41 of 80 votes from a media panel. The Lakers’ Pat Riley finished second with 25.
