President Reagan’s physician is finding fault with former White House Chief of Staff Donald T. Regan’s book, contending in a letter that “at no time was astrology consulted” regarding the President’s colon cancer surgery. Regan’s book, “For the Record,” published last week, disclosed that Nancy Reagan consulted an astrologer for help in determining the President’s schedule. Dr. John Hutton, in a two-page May 12 letter to Time magazine, said the subject of astrology never came up in the conversation he witnessed between the President and First Lady about the timing of the cancer surgery. White House spokesman Ben Jarratt said Time chose not to print Hutton’s letter in full, so it was released by the White House.
