Arizona voters will decide in November whether to drop an unenforced constitutional provision that bars women--such as Gov. Rose Mofford--from holding the state’s top offices. The Senate voted 27 to 0 for a proposed constitutional amendment to remove language that restricts the top offices to men. The House already has passed the proposed amendment, so the Senate vote places the issue on the November election ballot.
