In a rare but not unprecedented arrangement, ABC News has given permission to the Public Broadcasting Service to air 2 1/2 hours of material from Ted Koppel’s critically acclaimed “Nightline” trip to Israel last month. A “Nightline” spokeswoman, Laura Wessner, said Monday that the PBS broadcast is scheduled for June 1 in prime time, using excerpts from the five ABC News broadcasts from Israel from April 25-29.
