A five-alarm fire forced evacuation of more than 200 guests and employees from the six-story Villa Florence Hotel near Union Square in downtown San Francisco Saturday night but caused no serious injuries. The blaze also forced the shutdown of the Powell Street cable car line which runs from downtown to Fisherman’s Wharf and passes near the hotel. Police closed surrounding streets.
