A small earthquake struck a section of San Bernardino County, but no damage or injuries were reported. The temblor, measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale, struck at 10:53 a.m. about 10 miles west of San Bernardino, said Bob Finn, a spokesman for the Caltech Seismology Laboratory in Pasadena. Police and fire officials reported only a few calls from area residents. Finn said the shaker was one of thousands that strike Southern California each year, and it was not believed to be an aftershock of any more serious quakes.
