Baby Condor
I think it’s wonderful that a baby condor was born in captivity, but not to the tune of $20 million (Part I, April 30). Our universe is in a constant state of change. Why do we want, or need to prevent every animal, flower, etc. from becoming extinct? I’m glad nobody wanted to keep the dinosaur’s around.
I believe the money could have been spent in a more beneficial way, such as research into the cure and/or prevention of AIDS, diabetes, heart disease, Alzheimer’s, etc.
