South Korean riot police firing tear gas in Seoul dispersed 15,000 students demanding that North Korea be allowed to co-host the 1988 Seoul Olympics, witnesses said. Spokesmen for the demonstrators proposed that students from both Koreas meet at the border village of Panmunjom on June 10 to discuss co-hosting the games as a preparatory move to reunifying the two countries. The students, from 70 universities across South Korea, said the talks should also deal with exchange visits of student sports teams and family members divided by the 1950-53 Korean War.
