Marine, 22, Stabbed to Death in El Cajon

A 22-year-old Marine stationed at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego was fatally stabbed in the chest during a fight with a fellow serviceman, authorities said Friday.
El Cajon police found Michael A. Moore lying on the living room floor of an El Cajon apartment at about 10 p.m. Thursday. He had been stabbed in the upper chest and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said Moore and his girlfriend, who was not identified, went to visit Eugene Barnes, 22, at his apartment in the 1100 block of East Washington Avenue. While they were there, a fight broke out between the two men, but no details about the cause of the dispute were available.
Barnes, who also is a Marine, was taken into custody for questioning, police said.
