Atari Corp., the computer and video game manufacturer, said its earnings fell 63% to $5.7 million for its first fiscal quarter because of losses at its Federated Group chain of retail outlets acquired last fall. The Santa Clara-based company said sales of its computer and video games were strong. Revenue soared to $169.2 million from $65.1 million. Atari said Federated had an operating loss before taxes of $9.6 million in the quarter.
