Local News in Brief : Stanton : Driver Dies in Crash on Beach Boulevard

An Anaheim man was killed early Monday in a traffic accident at Beach Boulevard and Cerritos Avenue, a Sheriff’s Department spokesman said.
Felix J. Zambrano, 26, died when a car driven by Manuel Avila Roman, 25, of Stanton, ran a red light and collided with his car shortly before 1 a.m., Lt. Richard Olson said. Roman’s car also hit a pickup truck, but the two occupants only received minor injuries, the officer said.
Roman received head and eye injuries and was listed in stable condition at UCI Medical Center, Olson said.
An investigation is continuing, Olson said.
